Street name identification system for arterials and collectors.
To be installed under the traffic light or on bracket arm.

Specification
SAEROVISION tm 300 street name identification system for arterials and collectors (or approved equivalent) including one set of panels and one attachment system. The whole system should provide a minimal 70% EPA reduction under 100 km/h wind condition. Manufacturer must provide proof of such wind resistance features through successful tests results made in wind tunnel.

Street sign must have an ideal combination of shape/weight/attachment system which will limit the natural vibration to 1 hertz. All shop drawings must bear a Quebec Engineer seal. Distributor must provide technical support in the analysis of positioning and installation of the street signs. An estimate should be presented to the customer to this effect.

Street sign must be made of an hollow aluminium extrusion to provide sufficient space to install a lighting system inside the sign when needed. Ends must be caped.

Size of lettering
Font used should be "Clearview Highway CD-35". Lettering to be applied on both sides of sign in capital letters only. Size of lettering should be 200 mm ( 7 7/8'') high while the generic should be
50 mm (2'') high. Lettering should be made of translucent electronic cuttable film (1170 series from 3M or equivalent) applied in reverse on a regulatory level V reflective sheeting white background (3M diamond grade 3970 series or equivalent).


Installation
In order to perform the installation, contractor must have the regulatory licence and must comply with all requirements stated in the MTQ Traffic control devices manual, Volume V.
