The Kamelion-VMS variable message sign is a small variable message sign that can meet several needs. It can be used to communicate information to citizens. It can display messages according to the time and day of the week. Its 24″ x 30″ format makes the Kamelion the ideal tool for improving standard or intermittent road signage. Thanks to its RGB display, the Kamelion-VMS can display up to 7 colors in order to improve the perception and reaction time of drivers. A software is included to allow easy message customization. These three elements make the Kamelion educational sign one of the most powerful speed reduction tools on the market.

CITIZEN COMMUNICATION

The perfect traffic sign to effectively communicates with citizens. Whether it is to promote municipal activities or increase awareness during emergency situations such as boil water advisory, fire ban or evacuation, the variable message sign is an effective and dynamic means of communication. Thanks to the software specially designed on the educational radar, it is easy to edit any multicolored message or image and then send it to the panel via Bluetooth.

SPEED DISPLAY

By combining the variable message panel with a specially designed Doppler radar, the Kamelion becomes a full-matrix 7-color speed display. With its 48 x 64 cm (23.6ʺ x 29.5ʺ) screen, it is possible to display digits with a height of 38 cm (15”) while leaving enough space for a text box. The size of the screen enhances the visibility and efficiency of the sign, and allows the use of the sign on roads where the speed is greater than 60 km/h (37 mph). The specially designed educational radar offers many speed display configurations. About 20 preprogrammed pictograms are available depending on the displayed speed. In addition, the radar allows the collection of data and the activation of two rectangular rapid flash lights (RRFBs) on the panel, for excessive speeds.

ADJUSTABLE STAND-ALONE RADAR

Allows a perfect orientation of the radar with the traffic flow, increasing accuracy of data collection. With the screen turned off, it becomes a spy-mode traffic analyzer. Can collect traffic data while displaying speeds or messages.

SPEED DISPLAY

The addition of the radar also makes it possible to use the VMS as a speed display and take advantage of the characteristics of Kamelion-15.

INTERNAL CALENDAR

The Kamelion VMS is equipped with an internal calendar that allows you to toggle the message depending on the time or day. This feature allows to improve the intermittent signal such as speed and variable bans depending on the time and day of the week.

FULL 640 X 480 mm (25ʺ X 19ʺ) DISPLAY MATRIX

Readable at a maximum distance of 200 m (656ʹ). RGB screen that displays 7 colors.
Can scroll more than 100 messages continuously. Pictogram or customizable message with software. Text up to 8 lines of 12 characters of 70 mm (2 3/4ʺ)

Adding a radar also allows you to use the PMV as a speed display and thus take advantage of the characteristics of the Kamelion-15 speed display. Screen text messages and pictograms are tricolor according to the displayed speed limit.
